Instructor Development Program

Educate. Mentor. Excel. Lead.

Join the Instructor-Development Program to acquire innovative instruction techniques from a community of dedicated recognized APICS instructors. The techniques are designed to enhance your instructional skills and help your learners pass exams and attain certification.

How do I apply to the APICS Instructor Development Program?

  1. Be an active ASCM Member
  2. Maintain a current APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) or endorsement (SCOR-P)
  3. Complete the APICS Instructor Training Course for the credential you are seeking, such as Train the Trainer or Learning Dynamics for Instructors. APICS may recognize an equivalent course on a case-by-case basis.
  4. Download and complete the 2019 IDP Instructor Application
  5. Submit the application electronically to idpapps@ascm.org

Include the following documents with your application:

  • Professional recommendation letter
  • ASCM Partner Endorsement
  • Current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Additional information that you wish to provide to support your application (training materials that you developed, teaching certificates, articles or APICS course certificates of attendance)

There is a minimal application fee for administration and processing.
