Why is the conference changing from a hybrid format to an all-virtual format?
A: Due to the challenges for travel and safety associated with the uncertainty of the Delta variant and the COVID-19 pandemic, ASCM CONNECT Annual Conference will be a completely virtual event.
When will the conference take place?
A: The conference date has been moved up one day to Monday, October 25 (11am – 5:00pm CST) through Wednesday, October 27, 2021 (11am-5:00pm CST).
What does the virtual registration include?
Access to 50+ educational sessions, live and on demand, plus the virtual exhibit hall and virtual networking events. With the transition to fully virtual, many of the in-person only sessions are now part of the virtual conference, including our interactive Connection Cafes.
I was registered for the in-person conference, what do I need to do to attend virtually?
A: There is nothing for you to do. We will automatically transfer you to the virtual option and process a refund for the difference in cost. Please note, the virtual conference fee will be determined by your registration date -- honoring early pricing. Refunds will be processed by October 15.
I was registered for the in-person option and do not wish to participate virtually; can I get a refund?
A: A special cancellation policy was created exclusively for attendees that registered for the in-person option that will waive cancellation fees. Requests for cancellation must be made in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before September 15, 2021. Please include your full name, company, and email you used to register. Cancellation requests submitted after September 15, 2021, will adhere to the regular cancellation policy. Refunds will be processed by October 15.
I have a room reservation in San Antonio, do I need to cancel it?
A: All hotel reservations made through our housing partner will be automatically canceled. Reservations made outside of the ASCM hotel block are the responsibility of the individual.
I purchased airfare to attend the conference. Will I receive a refund?
A: ASCM will only refund registration fees. Any other cost incurred, such as airline or hotel penalties from rooms booked outside of the ASCM hotel block, are the responsibility of the individual.
I was planning on attending the Corporate Advisory meeting, is this still happening?
A: The ASCM Corporate Advisory meeting scheduled for Monday, October 25, 2021, in San Antonio has been canceled. It will now be held virtually Wednesday, November 17, 2021.More information to come via email soon.
I was planning on attending the ASCM Alliance Partner meeting, is this still happening?
A: The ASCM Alliance Partner meeting scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2021, in San Antonio has been canceled. Plans to offer a virtual meeting in Q42021 are underway.
Why am I not being offered discounted pricing?
A: ASCM members can take advantage of discounted pricing. It’s easy to do while registering by just adding membership to your cart during the registration process. For more information on membership, please visit www.ascm.org/membership-community
Why am I not seeing member pricing even though I am a member?
A: You must be logged in to your ASCM account to be recognized as member.
If I need to cancel my registration once I’ve already signed up for the virtual event, can I still get a refund?
A: Requests for cancellation must be made in writing via email to email@example.com on or before September 24, 2021. A $100 processing fee will be applied to all refund requests made on or before September 24, 2021. No refunds will be allowed after September 24, 2021. Refunds will not be issued for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events, or early departures.
I can no longer attend, and I purchased a membership. Can I get a refund for my membership?
A: Membership purchases are non-refundable.
