Join the APICS Summer Certification Challenge

Countless sporting events have been canceled this summer, but you still have the opportunity to partake in some friendly competition — in a safe, socially distant manner, of course.  The APICS Summer Certification Challenge is a global event, through which supply chain professionals everywhere can challenge and encourage each other while earning a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM); Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP); or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) designation. Certification is a major accomplishment and a proven way to increase your salary and advance your career.

The rules are simple:

1. Complete your APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP or CLTD) by September 30, 2020.

2. Share an image of your electronic certificate on social media (either LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram) and tag it with this hashtag: #APICSCertificationChallenge.

3. Challenge your friends and colleagues to participate by completing their APICS certifications.

All posts that include #APICSCertificationChallenge will be recognized in an ASCM video in October.

APICS Certifications

APICS certifications and the body of knowledge have been a global standard in supply chain learning and professional development for more than 60 years. Companies around the world recognize and, in many cases, require APICS certifications when recruiting and making hiring decisions.

CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) gives you the tools and techniques you need to improve the efficiency of your company’s internal processes.

CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) gives you the knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain that you need to help your company make your supply chain more competitive and a strategic asset.

(CLTD) Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution gives you the tools and techniques you need to improve the efficiency of your logistics and transportation capabilities and distribution and warehouse facilities and processes.

This summer is like no other — you might as well take advantage of the free time on your hands. Completing your APICS certification may not be as fun as going to a ballgame, but taking your career to the next level will undoubtedly provide exciting new opportunities for your future.
