ASCM is Making an Impact

ASCM Global Health Supply Chain Initiative Provides Supply Chain Technical Support for Ministries of Health

Funds from multiple grants make it possible for ASCM and the ASCM Foundation to provide the Ministries of Health and their teams needed access to content and resources through an ASCM Core Membership. With ASCM Membership, all participants will be able to access the Supply Chain Learning Center – ASCM’s educational hub of over 1,000 educational resources, digital events, webinars, and ASCM seminars focused specifically on supply chain resiliency and addressing the current COVID19 pandemic. ASCM currently has 45,000 individual members in 220 countries on this platform that participants can communicate with in this global time of need.

Our Global Health Supply Chain teams on the ground in Senegal (West Africa), Nigeria, and Kenya (East Africa) are already working with the Ministries of Health and their COVID-19 Response teams to:

  1. Identify high risk COVID-19 supply chain segments including home health to the general population, critical care to health workers, critical care to those with severe diagnoses, and education for the general population.
  2. Leverage the new Global Health Supply Chain Maturity model to assist response teams with quickly identifying supply risks, and
  3. Facilitate collaborative workshops with donor teams and local implementation partners to conduct risk mitigation activities.

Our multi-year efforts in supply chain capacity building as part of our Global Health Supply Chain Initiative includes work in the following countries:

  • Rwanda
